Jonathan Richman is...

One of my most favorite performers, just look at his eyes when he plays. Sincerely Jonathan Richman is a huge inspiration to me and my music. I've seen him live twice and had him sign my guitar. here are some great performances he did.

Rockabilly Time!!

I have really been into rockabilly lately. here are few really great albums. enjoy.

The Desperate Rock 'N' Roll Series:
this is a large series of fantastic old unknown bands. There are 19 volumes in all and i've only listened to a few of them but my favorite so far is Vol. 2, which contains a couple of my favorite rockabilly-ish songs so far track #1 (Woman Love by Jimmy Johnson) and track #30 (You Ain't No Good For Me by Jimmy Lee)

Kim Lenz and the Jaguars:
a modern rockabilly artist i can't seem to get enough of. raved as the modern rockabilly queen, with rolling stone mag saying "If Elvis had been a woman, he probably would have sounded just like Kim Lenz.” this being her 4th and most recent album with my personal favorite songs including "Touch Me" and "Zombie For Your Love".

Music Video for "Zombie For Your Love":

Throat Singing

I'm always looking for new and interesting styles of music.
recently i found a band called Yat Kha. Yat Kha cover popular songs using a traditional and very interesting way of singing commonly known as throat sining. i dig it.

here is a more traditional example of throat sining.

Casey and His Brother

really, you can't get much better then this. i don't really understand why Casey keeps looking more and more disturbing.  But i can sing these songs all day.
